Customer: Nis Øllgaard / Normann Copenhagen
Product: Shoehorn
Material: Highly flexible and robust plastic
Process: Injection molding with focus on shape, elasticity and surface quality

Background information
Industrial designer Nis Øllgaard contacted Antex Plast with the desire to realize a product where form and functionality would merge into one logical unit: the Shoehorn shoe horn. The design was well thought out and required a collaboration with a plastic manufacturer that could match both the technical precision and the aesthetic ambition.
The solution
The Shoehorn's hallmark is the thin, flexible - yet strong - tip that makes it easy to put on shoes without damaging the material. The shank is designed to fit naturally in the hand and orient itself intuitively during use. Achieving this combination of flexibility and strength required choosing the right type of plastic and precision molding.
At Antex Plast, we worked closely with Nis Øllgaard to ensure that the design could be translated 1:1 into a technically feasible and durable injection molded product. Special attention was paid to finish, demoulding, elasticity and consistent quality in production.
The result
Shoehorn is now part of the Normann Copenhagen range and is produced at Antex Plast's injection molding facility in Denmark. The long version comes with a magnetic wall mount and both versions are a beautiful example of how thoughtful design and technical expertise can be combined in one product.
